Elin Nilsen

Elin Nilsen ( born August 12, 1968 in Mo i Rana ) is a former Norwegian cross country skier who was active from 1990 to 2004.

At Olympic Games and World Championships, she won a total of six silver and two bronze medals, all with the Norwegian season. For a win it was never enough. Your best result in a single Olympic race was in 1992 and 1998, fourth place in the 30 -kilometer race. Nilsen's best individual score in a World Cup race in 1999 was the fourth place over 15 kilometers.

In the Cross Country World Cup Nilsen was also never win a single race. In the season 1991/92 they reached a second place and finished fifth overall.

Elin Nilsen is also the record winner of the traditional Norwegian folk run Skarverennet. The competition, she won a total of thirteen times (1988-1992 and 1998-2006, 2003 aborted), thus continuing a well unattainable brand, especially since it was undefeated in eight consecutive editions.
