Elisabeth Axmann

Elisabeth Axmann ( born June 19, 1926 in Siret in Bukovina, today Romania ) is a Romanian-German writer.

Life

Elisabeth Axmann spent her childhood in Bukovina, Moldavia and Transylvania. 1944-1946 Escape, stays and various activities in Romania. 1946/47 High School, 1947 studies in Sibiu. 1954 Marriage and moving to Bucharest, where until 1970 culture editor at " New Way ". 1970 editor of the Criterion publisher. 1972 editor of " New Literature ". Numerous translations. 1977 Escape from Romania. Since 1978, mainly art and literary criticism in the Romanian language.

She lives in Germany. She was with Titus Mocanu, Professor of Aesthetics at the School of Architecture in Bucharest, married.
