Élivágar

Élivágar ( Old Norse ), Germanized also Eliwagar, is the collective name for eleven rivers in the Edda Snorri Sturluson - Snorra. Specifically, they are called Fimbulthul, Fjorm, Gjoll, Gunnthra, Hrid, Leipt, Slid, SVOL, Sylg, Vid and YLG. This poured out of the well Hvergelmir and filled the empty space that existed before the creation of the world. The water of these rivers froze in the north to ice. In the south, however, this was prevented by the sparks of flame Muspellsheim world. From the mixture of water and steam coals went forth a human-like creature called Ymir.
