Elizabeth Jane Via
Elizabeth Jane Via (* 1948) is an American Roman Catholic theologian.
Life
Via studied Roman Catholic theology and law. As a high school teacher, she taught Roman Catholic theology at the University of San Diego in California. 1984 signed Via Campaign A Catholic Statement on Pluralism and Abortion, which appeared in the New York Times. In later years she became district attorney in California. As an advocate of women's ordination she let ordain in the 2000s to the priestess. It belongs to a group of over 100 Roman Catholic theologians who consecrate himself as a result of the ordination of seven Roman Catholic theologians on the Danube in 2002 as a priestess.
