Elizaveta Tuktamysheva

Elizabeth Sergejewna Tuktamyschewa (Russian Елизавета Сергеевна Туктамышева, English transcription Elizaveta Sergeyevna Tuktamysheva; born December 17, 1996 Glasow, Udmurtia ) is a Russian figure skater who starts in a single run.

Sports career

Tuktamyschewa Elizabeth, daughter of a former Skirennläufers and football coach, began at the age of four and a half years with the figure skating. Since 2007, she trained partly in her hometown Glasow and partly in St. Petersburg. The age of 12 she attracted attention because they already mastered very challenging step sequences. Initial successes celebrated at regional competitions in Belgorod, where her coach Alexei Mishin later became aware of them.

In 2009 she won silver at the national Russian Championships, 2010 Bronze for the first time. Since 2011 she trained exclusively in Saint Petersburg in Svetlana and Alexei Mishin Weretennikowa. 2011, she was second in the Junior World Championships behind her teammate Adelina Sotnikowa. Since the season 2011/12 she took very successfully at the ISU Grand Prix series. Mid-2012, she was sidelined with a knee injury. In the 2012/2013 season she was in Sochi Russian champion ahead of their competitors Jelena Radionowa and Sotnikowa. In the 2013/14 season Tuktamyschewa occupied at Skate America and Cup of Russia fourth place respectively. Thus she remained for the first time in her career without Gran Prix medal and could not qualify for the final. In the Russian Cup in 2014, she was only ten, and therefore failed to qualify for the European Championship.
