Elke Drüll

Elke Doris Drüll ( born April 1, 1956 in Neuss, after marriage Sprink ) is a former German hockey player and Olympian 1984.

The Neusserin began her career in black and white Neuss; In 1979 she joined the club Raffelberg to Duisburg and Cologne 1981 for Hockey -Tennis-Club Blau-Weiss. With the Cologne city they occupied from 1981 to 1983 three times in a row, the second place in the German field hockey championship in 1982 and 1984 they reached the hall the second place. After the indoor season in 1984, she moved back to their original club black and white Neuss. The full-back was the only player in the Regional Olympic squad in 1984.

Elke Drüll debuted in 1979 in the German national hockey team. After the victory at the European Indoor Championships in 1981 it belonged in the same year to the German squad for the FIH Hockey World Championship in Buenos Aires, who won the second German world champion title after 1976. In 1983 she was back again at the World Championships and finished with the German team to fourth place. In May 1984, the first field hockey championship of the ladies was held in Lille, after a semi-final defeat against the Netherlands team won the German players in the match for bronze against the British women. Two months later the German team ended at the Olympic Games in Los Angeles in second place, with Elke Doris Drüll was used only in the 2-2 draw against Australia. Overall, Elke Drüll worked from 1979 to 1984 in 61 countries playing with, including 9 in the hall.

Today Elke Sprink is responsible for hockey in black and white Neuss in the office.
