On 17 June 2001, the refurbished and enlarged to 15 registers organ was inaugurated in a ceremony in the parish church of Ell.

Ell takes its name probably from a water castle, like an island ( celtic: El) was surrounded by water.

The Castle of Kolpach, a mansion with a domain of 30 acres, built in 1747 directly on the Belgian border, was acquired by Arbed director Emile Mayrisch and bequeathed by his widow to the Luxembourg Red Cross. In 2002 it was recognized as a national monument. It housed a convalescent home, but is not currently used for this purpose, since the building no longer meets the standards and therefore needs to be renovated. Currently, the convalescent home is housed in a modern building in the neighborhood.
