Ella Lemhagen

Ella Lemhagen ( born August 29, 1965 in Uppsala, Sweden) is a Swedish film director.

Her film studies, she graduated from the University of Stockholm. There she was able to realize her first short film for Swedish television. Except in Sweden, she studied in Paris film directing.

She made the late 1990s a name as a director of children 's and youth films. Her first feature film was 1996, the youth film The Dream Prince of Em, to which they also wrote the screenplay. Previously she directed the film the award-winning short film The Thirteenth Birthday ( 1993), which represents the history of the film. It follows the 1998 film Welcome to the party with the same actresses.

They achieved international success in 1999 with the children's film tzatziki - squid and first kisses. The film won the Crystal Bear at the Children's Film Festival at the Berlinale 2000. Another children's film was taken in 2003 with The chaotic parents exchange.
