The Ellaktor AE (Greek own notation: ΕΛΛΑΚΤΩΡ ) is a publicly traded, international construction services provider with headquarters in Kifissia in Athens. The environment, energy and waste management business operates under the name " Helector " and has its headquarters in Solms with a branch in Hamburg.

History

The predecessor companies Elliniki Technodomiki, actuator and TEB were founded in the 1950s and 1960s, 1999, the companies merged to the largest construction companies in Greece. 2008, the company name of Elliniki Technodomoki - TEB was shortened to Ellaktor. As of 2001, the field of "renewable energy " was expanded.

2003, the new environment, energy and waste management division was established since 2005 has a 50 % stake in the Wartherhof GmbH. Among the completed projects of Helector in Germany include biomass power plants and biowaste treatment plants.

The classical construction business was spun off into the 100 % subsidiary " actor".
