Ellerstadt

Ellerstadt is a municipality in the district of Bad Durkheim in Rhineland- Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Wachenheim on the wine route.

Geography

Ellerstadt is located in the Upper Rhine Valley in the Rhine -Neckar. Neighboring municipalities are birch heath, Fußgönheim, Gönnheim and Bad Durkheim. The coat of arms of Ellerstadt was approved by the Bavarian State Ministry of the Interior in Munich on 10 August 1925. Economy and infrastructure

The agricultural community lives mainly on viticulture and to a lesser extent from the orchards. Some of the residents has been with BASF in nearby Ludwigshafen.
