Elliot Scott

Elliot Scott ( born July 19, 1915 in London, † 29 October 1993 in Hillingdon, Middlesex ) was a British art director and production designer.

Life

Wllitiot Scott began his career in 1954 in the television series The Vise and with the film A kingdom for a Woman ( 1955). Until 1976 he worked as an art director, then as a production designer. He was one of the key figures of Metro -Goldwyn- Mayer's English office in Borehamwood. His last work was Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989).

For his work he was nominated three times for an Academy Award: for the first time in 1965 for the film of Emily in 1977 for The Incredible Sarah and 1989 for Who Framed Roger Rabbit. For the last scene image, he was also nominated for the BAFTA Film Award.

His son Stephen Scott is also a production designer, including for Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom along with his father and the two Hellboy movies.
