Elliott Nugent

Elliott Nugent ( born September 20, 1896 in Dover, Ohio; † August 9, 1980 in New York City, New York ) was an American film director and actor.

Life

Elliott Nugent was the child of a family of actors at a very young age on stage. Relatively, he managed to jump to Broadway, but he was next to his career as an actor active as a writer of plays and screenplays. From the beginning of the 30s staged Nugent movies. His genre were mostly comedies with known comedians like Harold Lloyd, Bob Hope and Bing Crosby. Alcohol problems contributed to the fact that Nugent from the early 50s no further films more turned, but operated as a director and producer of plays.
