Ellis Ferreira
Ellis Ferreira ( born February 19, 1970 in Pretoria ) is a former South African tennis player.
Career
Ferreira won 18 doubles titles in his career on the ATP Tour ( nine of them with Rick Leach ) and reached a further 16 times a final. His greatest successes were the victory at the Australian Open in 2000 and the finals of the U.S. Open in the same year as well as winning the ATP Doubles Challenge 2002 ( each with Rick Leach ). In addition, Ferreira won in 2001 on the side of Corina Morariu the Mixed Competition at the Australian Open.
Its highest ranking in the tennis world ranking he reached in a double with rank 2 in January 2000, in single, he brought it only to number 210 in the world ( October 1994).
