The Ellis River is a left tributary of the Saco River in the U.S. state of New Hampshire.

The Ellis River rises on the north eastern flank of Mount Washington in the White Mountains. It flows east to Pinkham Notch. This Cutler River and New River flow on the right side into the river. He overcomes between the mouths of the two rivers the Crystal Cascades. Below Pinkham Notch are the Glen Ellis Falls on the river. From Pinkham Notch 16 is followed by the New Hampshire Route flowing southward Ellis River. In Jackson the Wildcat Brook opens the left side into the river. After a further 6 km of the Ellis River meets the flowing westward Saco River. The Ellis River has a length of 27 km.

A nearly 10 km long stretch of river above the Jackson golf course is suitable for whitewater canoeists and kayakers. The difficulty lies in III -IV.

In the Jackson covered bridge Honeymoon Bridge spans (also Jackson Honeymoon Covered Bridge ) immediately after the confluence of Wildcat Brook river.
