Geography
Ellzee is located in the Danube Günz.
There are the following districts: Ellzee, Hausen / GZ, Stoffenried.
History
The place Ellzee belonged to the Austrian front Margraviate of Burgau and was the seat of one of the five Vogt offices of the Margraviate. Since the peace treaties of Brno and Bratislava in 1805 the place belonged to Bavaria. Different float in today's municipal area was at various times in Bavaria: the kingdom pins Rye Castle, Kaisheim, Ursberg, Wettenhausen in 1803; of the barons of Vöhlin ( rule Neuburg adKammel ) 1806. During the administrative reforms in the Kingdom of Bavaria was born with the congregation of 1818, the current community.
Incorporations
On May 1, 1978, the previously independent municipalities Hausen and Stoffenried were incorporated.

The council has 12 members. Since the local elections of 2002 they relate to the following lists:
- Constituency association Ellzee Together: 6 seats
- Unit list Stoffenried: 4 seats
- Free electoral association Hausen: 2 seats
Mayor Karl Schlosser ( unit list Stoffenried ). He was the successor of Josef Hoser (CSU ) in 2002.
The municipal tax revenue amounted to the equivalent of € 718 thousand in 1999, which amounted to the trade tax revenues ( net) converted 333 T €.

It was in 1998 according to official statistics in the manufacturing sector and 274 in the area of trade and transport 18 persons work at the workplace. Ellzee has a breakpoint at the Mittelschwaben train Mindelheim - Krumbach - Günzburg, where approximately hourly regional trains.
