Elmar Ledergerber

Elmar Leather Gerber ( born April 4, 1944 in Engelberg ), citizens of Andwil SG and Zurich is a Swiss politician (Social Democratic Party of Switzerland ). He was from 2002 to 2009 Mayor of Zurich.

Study

Leather tanners studied from 1965 at the University of Freiburg, where he graduated in 1968 with a degree in history ( lic.phil I). From 1968 to 1971 he studied at the HSG foreign economic economy. In 1979 he was at the HSG Dr. oec. HSG doctorate.

Policy

Leather Gerber was from 1979 to 1987 in the Zurich Cantonal Council from 1987 to 1998 Member of the National Council.
