Élmer Mendoza

Elmer Mendoza ( * 1949 in Culiacan, Sinaloa, Mexico) is a Mexican writer. In 2010 he held a chair in literature at the Universidad Autónoma de Sinaloa. Mendoza is a supporter of cultural institutions and of reading.

In his stories Mendoza, who comes from a poorer neighborhood of Culiacan takes, often relating to his native city, by embracing their places in the actions.
