The Elmshorn station is a passenger station in Schleswig-Holstein Elmshorn. This is where the lines Hamburg- Altona- Kiel and the Marschbahn each other. In addition, Elmshorn is the starting point of the line AKN A3, which leads to South Ulzburg. History

The Elmshorn station was taken at the same time on September 18, 1844 the opening of the Altona- Kiel Railway Company in operation. He is one of the oldest in Schleswig -Holstein, as the track Altona- Kiel was also the first in the country. Originally, this line should pass through Barmstedt. On the tracks 2 and 3 trains Itzehoe and Hamburg on track 1a AKN. Outside the station there is the bus station of the city. With three tracks for the German railway and the Nord-Ostsee -Bahn station in the capacity is very low.
