The Elnhauser water (also: Elnhäuser water ) is a 5.9 km (via the Walter Bach: 8.6 km ) long, all running on the Marburg district, orographic left side or the north and at the same time the most important tributary of the Ohe, after about Allna East dewatered to Lahn.

Course

The Elnhauser water springs on the southwest flank of the dome Damshäuser hungry, just south of the traffic circle between Lahn - Caldern and the Marburg districts Dagobertshausen and Michel Bach ( Marburg).

A second source westlicherer River originates from the so-called Elnhauser reason the saddle between hungry (412 m) and this southwestern ka ( 385 m).

While the creek from northern directions fro flows through the eponymous district Elnhausen, he takes from the right ( = west) onto the springing east of Damshausen Walter Bach, after passing Dilschhausen also from the left ( = north) of the Calder stream is flowed.

At about halfway to the mouth now flows from the left ( = east) of the Marburger back springing north of Wehrshausen military houses Bach, who first orbited named after him Marburg district half from the west and then passes through the southern Dammühle to eventually in to lead the East-West direction.

Approximately 2.3 km ( straight line ) south of the creek eventually empties Elnhausen in the Ohe - only some 500 m northeast of the estuary in the Ohe Allna at Hermershausen.

Catchment area

The Elnhauser water is the main river in the middle Elnhausen -Michel Bacher sink ( natural area 320.11 ) that the Gladenbacher Bergland (main unit 320 ) from the eastern Marburger back and thus on the West Hesse Highlands (main unit group 34 ) separates.
