Elobey Chico

Elobey Chico (deprecated Eloby ) is a small, now uninhabited island just off the coast of the West African country of Equatorial Guinea. The island is located near the mouth of the river Mitémélé, a short distance to the island Elobey Grande.

Elobey Chico was inhabited during the Spanish colonial rule and formed the de facto capital of lying on the African mainland colonial province of Rio Muni (now Mbini ).
