Éloi Meulenberg
Eloi Meulenberg ( born September 22, 1912 in Jumet, † February 26, 1989 ) was a Belgian racing cyclist.
From 1934 Elio Meulenberg occupied good positions in some classics and semi- classics. Four times he competed in the Tour de France, decided eight stages for himself, he came only once in Paris. In 1935, he finished in the Tour of Flanders rank two. In 1937 he was in Copenhagen surprising champion of professionals in the road race.
Meulenberg was considered tactically and was hard to beat in the sprint, which proved to him by his title as positive as he could keep his opponent, the German Emil Kijewski and the Swiss Paul Egli in chess in a long sprint.
