Elsdorf, Lower Saxony

Sindelsdorf is a municipality in the district of Rotenburg (Wümme ) in Lower Saxony. In addition to the main town Sindelsdorf include also the places Badenhorst, Bock Horst, Ehestorf, Frankenbostel, Hatzte, Nindorf, Poitzendorf, Rüspel and Volkensen to the community.

History

Sindelsdorf was 1024/28 was first mentioned as Alliestorpe in a document of Verden Bishop Wigger.

Probably not lived in Sindelsdorf itself, but in the neighboring castle Sindelsdorf in 1050 a lady named Ida highest nobility. It was after two hundred years later chroniclers write Albert of Stade paternal niece Emperor Henry III. and a maternal niece of Pope Leo IX.

Incorporations

On March 1, 1974, the municipalities Ehestorf, Frankenbostel, Hatzte, Rüspel and Volkensen were incorporated.

Coat of arms

The coat of arms of Sindelsdorf is divided and split up. It shows the front on top of a blue background with a silver knight with a red shield, which in turn shows a silver cross. In the community Sindelsdorf is the A1 motorway (Hamburg - Bremen) with the junction Sindelsdorf. The 2012 finished 2.35 km long ring road connects the 2012 also completed junction with Sindelsdorf.

Sindelsdorf is located on the today only for freight traffic operated railway Bremervörde -Rotenburg (Wümme ).

Established businesses

Most important holdings in the municipality are the " Heideblume " dairy Sindelsdorf -Rotenburg AG and Elsdorfer delicatessen AG.

Clubs

The Tus Sindelsdorf is the sports club in the town with nearly 1,000 members and several divisions in various sports. Furthermore, the volunteer fire department Sindelsdorf resident of the place. There is also a shooting club, the club in 2014 its 100 years anniversary in.
