The Office Elsterland is a 1992 formed Office in Brandenburg, in the first new churches in the then district Finsterwalde (now Elbe-Elster district, Brandenburg ) were combined into an administrative group. The seat is in the municipality of Schönborn. Through municipal mergers, the Office currently has only five municipalities.

Geographical location

The Office Elsterland is in the middle of the district Elbe- Elster in Brandenburg ( Germany ). It is bordered to the north by the official free city Doberlug- Kirchhain, on the east by the official free Finsterwalde, to the south by the Office Plessa and the official free town of Bad Liebenswerda and to the west by the city Uebigau.

Structure

Currently, the Office Elsterland divided into the following municipalities:

  • Heathland with the districts Drößig, Eichholz and fish water and the living quarters forest house pond Weber, settlement and Zschiepelmühle
  • Rücker village with the districts Friedersdorf, Oppelhain and Rücker village as well as the living quarters pit Erna, Täubertsmühle and forest settlement
  • Schilda
  • Schönborn with Gruhno, Lindena, Schadewitz and Schönborn
  • Tröbitz with the living space Tröbitz North

History

The Minister of the Interior of Brandenburg issued the formation of the Office Elsterland on 13 July 1992 its approval. As the time of conclusion of the Office July 21, 1992 has been set. The Office has its seat in the municipality Schönborn and initially consisted of nine towns in the former district Finsterwalde: fish water, Gruhno, Lindena, Oppelhain, Rückersdorf, Schadewitz, Schilda, Schönborn and Tröbitz.

The community Eichholz Drößig was assigned to the office by order of the Brandenburg Interior Minister on 28 August 1992. September 27, 1998, the municipalities Schönborn, Lindena, Gruhno and Schadewitz merged to form the new municipality of Schönborn.

As of 31 December 2001, the municipalities Oppelhain and Rückersdorf merged to form the new municipality Rückersdorf. The communities Eichholz Drößig fish and water formed December 31, 2001, the new Heathland community.
