The Elz is a 90 km long, right-side tributary of the Rhine in the Black Forest, Baden- Wuerttemberg.

Course

In Prechtal it bends sharply to the southwest. Below the city of Waldkirch takes the Elz from at Denzlingen in the Freiburg bay of the upper Rhine valley. Henceforth it flows, Emmen things and Teningen passing, in northwestern direction.
