Emanuel Sandhu

Emanuel Sandhu ( born November 18, 1980 in Toronto, Ontario) is a former Canadian figure skater, who started in a single run.

Sandhu was born in Toronto and grew up in Richmond Hill. His mother is from Italy, his father is a Sikh. Sandhu began at the age of three years with ballet lessons and at the age of eight years with figure skating. He is a graduate of Canada's renowned National Ballet School. A year after he started with the figure skating, he was discovered by Joanne McLeod. She stood up to end of his career his trainer.

In the years 2001, 2003 and 2004, Sandhu Canadian champion. At the World Championships he was also placed five times in the top ten, his best result was fifth place at the 2006 World Cup at home in Calgary. In 2004 he was runner-up at the Four Continents Championship behind his compatriot Jeffrey Buttle. Shortly before, he had surprisingly won the Grand Prix Final before Yevgeny Plyushchenko and reaches a personal record score of 228.29 points. Sandhu participated twice at the Olympic Winter Games. 2002 Salt Lake City, he had to retire injured in Turin in 2006, he was 13
