Emanuele Di Gregorio

Emanuele Di Gregorio ( born December 13, 1980 in Castellammare del Golfo ) is an Italian athlete who won in 2010 with the Italian 4 x 100 meters relay silver medal at the European Championships.

Di Gregorio took already at the 2002 European Championships in Munich and the 2008 Olympic Games in part, but only in 2009 he achieved his international breakthrough. At the European Indoor Championships in Turin, the Briton Dwain Chambers won ahead of the two Italians Fabio Cerutti and Emanuele Di Gregorio, both of which were only a hundredth of a second over the Italian record of Simone Collio in 6.56 s. After the bronze medal in the hall Di Gregorio difference at the 2009 World Championships in the 100 meters in the quarterfinals, but reached the final of the season; in the occupation of Roberto Donati, Collio, Di Gregorio and Cerutti the Season ran in 38.54 s to sixth place.

The following year, Di Gregorio reached at the European Championships 2010 in a personal best of 10.17 s in the final 100 - meter race, but finished there in 10.34 s only seventh. The Season with Donati Collio, Di Gregorio and Maurizio Checcucci reached the final four days later and ran there with Italian national record of 38.17 s to second place behind the French squadron.

Di Gregorio has a competition weight of 64 kg at a height of 1.73 m. He starts for the club of the Italian Air Force Aeronautica Militare.
