Emblem of Hong Kong

The coat of arms of Hong Kong is a red, white -rimmed glass. In it, a stylized, white, five-petal flower Bauhinien is shown. The symbolic five stars of the national flag of the People's Republic of China are cited visually in the petals.

In the upper half of the edge is written in Chinese characters " Special Administrative Region of the People 's Republic of China Hong Kong" (中华人民共和国 香港特别行政区) to read in the bottom half in Latin letters " HONG KONG ".

Description of the old coat of arms

The old coat of arms shows in silver escutcheon two golden ships with three equally colored sails. The average sailing is the greater. In the sign two blue wave beams.
