Emblem of Tajikistan

The coat of arms of Tajikistan existed in its present form since 1993. It is a modified version of the coat of arms of the Tajik SSR, which was used until the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991.

The crown in the center of the coat of arms is the same, which is also found in the flag of Tajikistan.

In the lower part of the crest an open book is shown. Above it is the stylized representation of the mountains of the Pamirs, behind which the sun rises.

The coat of arms is flanked by the left and right of a cotton plant of wheat ears, each adorned with a ribbon in the colors of the flag of Tajikistan.
