The current coat of arms of the Democratic Republic of Congo was introduced in 2006.

Description

The coat of arms shows a free-floating leopard head in natural color, accompanied on the right by a silver elephant tusk and to the left of a black spear.

Among them stands on red ribbon golden French foreign exchange

Foundation is a pale violet stone.

Symbolism

Leopard head, spear and arrow, palm branch and tusk symbolize the country and its inhabitants, its flora and fauna and the natural resources.

History

The coat of arms of the Democratic Republic of Congo from 2003 shows three black entwined hands, framed by a garland of corn. On the coat of arms rests a black lion's head, under the arms is the French motto:
