Emblem of Uzbekistan

Officially launched on 2 July 1992 coat of arms of Uzbekistan is a modified version of the coat of arms of the Uzbek SSR, which was used until the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991.

Form and presentation

The crest is circular and carries mainly the national colors of blue, white and green. In the middle proposes a Xumo ( Xumo is the name of the Persian Uzbek Semurg or Simurgh ( altpers. ), Sen - murw ( mittelpers. ) Sinmurg ( neupers. ) ) the wing apart. Links wraps around a cotton plant and right loops wheat crest.

In the upper part of the emblem, the crescent moon symbol is in a field whose shape is derived from the Koran used in character Rub al- Hizb. This points to the religion of Islam, to which most of the population professes.

In the middle is the national bird Xumo, which stands for freedom. In the background a view of Uzbekistan is painted. The rising sun over the mountains with the corresponding rays of the sun round the picture.

The Xumo stands on the Uzbek flag, in which is reproduced on Uzbek name of the country.
