Emblem of Vietnam

The official coat of arms of Vietnam contributes, as in the flag of Vietnam, in the middle of a star.

Description

Blazon Vietnam: In the red of a golden wreath of grain surrounded Buckler between ears of rice a golden gear with a hovering a five-pointed golden faceted star. The wreath is tied with a red gold edged Currency loop on both sides, the front in gold letters, the state name: " Cong Hoi Chu Nghia Hoà xà Việt Nam " (Socialist Republic of Vietnam ).

Symbolism: The star symbolizes the workers, peasants, soldiers, intellectuals and youth. The red background stands for success and revolution. As a side serve corn ears. Gear and ears of rice wreath symbolize the close alliance of workers and peasants.

The ears are tied with a red bow. In the lower half of the coat of arms of the state 's name is on Vietnamese:

History

South Vietnam in 1954 independently and participated in a national coat of arms, which showed a dragon in front of the flag image. 1955 a new seal was introduced, from 1957, a national coat of arms was and which consisted of a bamboo tree next to brush and sword. From 1963 to 1976 it returned to the flag image.

In North Vietnam was laid on November 30, 1955 firmly held in the Soviet-style coat of arms. It is on a red background the star of the national flag, gear and ears of rice wreath.

With the reunification of Vietnam on July 2, 1976, the coat of arms finally became the official coat of arms of Vietnam.
