Embley Park

Embley Park is a British, historic country house near the New Forest and the town of Romsey in Hampshire. Historical significance of the house, among other reasons, because Florence Nightingale, the pioneer of Nursing, grew up here. Florence Nightingale's father, William Nightingale, acquired the estate in 1825 after the real, situated in Derbyshire family estate Lea Hurst of his wife Fanny Nightingale was perceived to be remote. The estate has been converted by the family Nightingale in a big way.

Today, the country house is a boarding school for boys and girls, which bears the name Embley Park School, and was built in 1946. It consists of a kindergarten and a primary school for 3 - to 11 -year-old and a high school for students up to age 18. Currently, the school will be merged with another boarding school and then operate under the name of Hampshire Collegiate School.
