The Emborcação Reservoir, Portuguese Barragem de Emborcação, or Lago Azul ( " Blue Lake " ) is a large artificial lake with a large hydro power plant in Brazil. It is located about 700 km north- west of Rio de Janeiro between cities Araguari and Catalão the Rio Paranaíba.

The total volume of the reservoir is approximately 17,500 million, 12,512 million cubic meters of usable volume. The lake is well spread out and has an area of 446 km ². It is also used for fishing and water sports.

The dam is on the border of Goias and Minas Gerais, the water works and the spillway in the area of Minas Gerais.

The hydroelectric power plant ( Usina de Hidrelátrica Emboração e Miranda ) was put into operation in 1982. It has four generators and provides 1192 megawatts. It can be reached via the road BR -050.
