EMBOSS
EMBOSS is an acronym for European Molecular Biology Open Software Suite. EMBOSS is a free Open Source software package of the European Bioinformatics Institute ( EBI). It was developed specifically for users from the fields of molecular biology and bioinformatics. The software is able to process data and specific sequences in a variety of different formats. The software package includes an extensive library and serves as a platform that also allows other scientists to develop open source software and publish it.
