Emden is a village in Logan County, Illinois (USA). The population is 515 (2000 ).

Is named the city after the East Frisian seaport city of Emden. Many emigrants who have settled here, come from the Emsregion.

Emden was founded in 1871 as the former Peoria, Lincoln and Decatur Railroad station. The appointed post office took its service on August 7 of that year.
