Ëmëhntëhtt - Rê is the tenth studio album by the French Zeuhl band Magma. It was released on November 5, 2009.
Background
Work on " Ëmëhntëhtt - Rê " began already in the 1970s, some musical themes are already to be found on the live album " Hha " of 1975 and " Üdü Ẁüdü " of 1976. Over the following decades, the song was repeatedly changed and expanded.
In the context of the myth ' of Kobaïa that tells the band in their discography, is " Ëmëhntëhtt - Rê " the conclusion of the " Köhntarkösz " trilogy, the albums " Köhntarkösz " (1974), " KA" ( 2004) and " Ëmëhntëhtt - Rê " includes and describes the connection between the kobaïanischen people and ancient Egypt. The main person Köhntarkösz discovered the grave of the old master Ementeht -Re, who was murdered before he could reach his goal of immortality. In a vision he opened this secret.
Style and reception
On " Ëmëhntëhtt - Rê " the already known from the previous " KA" influences from classical music, jazz and jazz-rock are represented again, even the typical magma choral singing is omnipresent. Thus, the album includes not only the content but also musically to the predecessor.
