Emet is a town and a district of the Turkish province of Kütahya. The city is located about 65 kilometers west of the provincial capital of Kütahya.

The district is located in the western center of the province. It is bordered to the south by Gediz, on the southwest by Hisarcik, on the west by Simav, on the north by Tavşanlı, to the east by Aslanapa and to the southeast by Çavdarhisar. Through the county seat and the county's trunk road D- 595, which leads from Simav north past the Iznik Gölü to the Gulf of İzmit in the Sea of ​​Marmara runs. West of the city flows the Emet Çayı (also Alıova Çayı ), which flows north into the lake Uluabat Gölü. To the west is the up to 2072 meters high mountains Eğrigöz Dagi, east part of Karlık Dagi. About three kilometers north of the town there is a mining area for boron

In 1970, the region was affected by the earthquake of Gediz.
