Emil Beck

Emil Beck ( born July 20, 1935 in Tauberbischofsheim, † March 12, 2006 ) was a German fencing coach.

Life

The trained hairdresser began in the mid 1950s with the sport of fencing. Fencing scenes from the movie The Three Musketeers had the youngsters impressed. With great passion for the sport he created in Tauberbischofsheim the world famous fencing training center, which in the 1970s to the Olympic " goldsmith " was. As a coach of fencing sizes as Matthias Behr, Alexander Pusch and Anja Fichtel he became one of the most successful fencing coaches in the world. Olympic medals, World and European titles have been won since 1973 (first world title for an athlete from Tauberbischofsheim ) rows under his care.
