Emil Kijewski

Emil Kijewski ( born November 22, 1911 in Dortmund, † January 23, 1989 ) was a German racing cyclist. He was one of the most famous drivers of his time.

A heavy fall at the Swiss tour 1938 meant for him a kink in his sporting career. The Second World War brought him just to further success. After returning from Russian captivity he sat down at the age of 30 years, mid- back on the bike. He ended his active career in 1951 as a professional with the victory at the Grand Prix of Rheda.
