Emil Sax

Emil Sax ( born February 8, 1845 in Jauernig, Austrian Silesia, † March 25, 1927 Volosca ( Volosko, Istria ) ) was an economist.

Life

Sax studied at the University of Vienna and in 1867 secretary of the Austrian Commission at the Paris World Exhibition. As such, he was instrumental in charge of drawing up the official report on the organization of the same.

Then Sax got a job as Konzipist at the Vienna Chamber of Commerce and was able to habilitate during this time as a lecturer in economics at the Technical University, and later at the University of Vienna. From 1873 he worked for six years as a secretary in the administration of the Emperor Ferdinand Northern Railway.

1879 Sax took a reputation as a Full Professor of Economics at the Charles University ( Prague ) on. In the same year Sax was also elected to the Austrian parliament.
