Emil Schulz

Emil Schulz ( born May 25, 1938 in Kaiserslautern, † March 22, 2010 ) was a German boxer. He was winner of the silver medal at the 1964 Olympic Games in Tokyo in the middleweight division.

Career

Emil Schulz began as a teenager in 1951 in the Boxabteilung of the 1st FC Kaiserslautern with the boxes. He developed relatively quickly at a good boxer, but came only at senior level to the first successes in the southwest of Germany. In 1956 he was first Association champion Southwest and won that title without interruption until 1964 in the weight classes half Welter to medium. He was southpaw and had a dreaded left hand shock.
