Emilia Eberle

Emilia Eberle Gertrude ( Trudy today Kollar ) ( born March 4, 1964 in Arad, Arad County ) is a former Romanian gymnast Danube Swabian origin.

Career

Emilia Eberle came at the age of twelve years to the Romanian national team in Deva. She won at the World Championships 1979 in Fort Worth gold in the team competition and the apparatus finals at the bottom, as well as the bronze medal on the uneven bars. As early as 1978 she had taken at the World Championships in Strasbourg silver with the team and in three apparatus finals ( balance beam, floor and uneven bars ) bronze. At the European Championships in Copenhagen in 1979, she won silver behind Nadia Comaneci in the all around and on uneven bars and balance beam.

At the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow, she won silver in the team and on the uneven bars. After her career in late 1983, she worked for six years in the watch factory of Arad. In May 1989, she fled to Hungary and currently lives with her ​​husband, the former judoka Frank Kollar, and their son in Sacramento, California.
