Emilia Rydberg

Emilia Rydberg ( born January 5, 1978 in Stockholm ) is a Swedish singer of Ethiopian origin.

Career

With 18 years Emilia got a contract as a singer. In 1998, she released the single Big Big World, which became a worldwide hit. The single was the beginning of 1999 in many European countries, # 1 in the charts and sold over four million copies worldwide. Then Emilia published more singles, including a duet with Oli.P. The following singles and their second album were only successful in Sweden.

After a hiatus of several years Rydberg occurred in 2004 in the ProSieben show comeback - on the great opportunity from which they retired early due to a gall stone surgery and finished fifth behind Limahl, Coolio, Benjamin Boyce and Chris Norman.

On 6 December 2006 Emilia published the Swedish-speaking Single Var minut, which reached number 2 in Sweden. On 11 April 2007 the second Single En sång om kärleken followed from their third album Sma ord av kärlek.

In May 2008, a single outside Sweden, followed by I Can Do It appeared I Will not Cry again in October 2008.

In March 2009, Emilia took titled You're My World part in Melodifestivalen 2009.
