Emilie Turunen

Emilie Turunen ( born May 13, 1984 in Copenhagen, Denmark) is a Danish politician and the Social Democrats since 2009 Member of the European Parliament. On 20 March 2013, it is converted by the Socialist People's Party ( SF).

Turunen studied at the University of Roskilde Social Science and obtained in 2009 a Bachelor's degree. During her studies Turunen was also active politically and became a member of the Socialist People's Party. Their youth organization SFU led from 2008 to 2009. Since the 2009 European election is Turunen Member of the European Parliament, where it belongs to the group Progressive Alliance of Socialists. Turunen lives with her ​​partner in Copenhagen.

Turunen is a member of the Committee on the Internal Market and Consumer Protection and the Delegation for relations with the countries of Southeast Asia and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations ( ASEAN. ) As Deputy it is the Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs and the Committee on Employment and Social Affairs and the delegation for relations with Iran.
