Emilio de Villota

Emilio de Villota ( born July 27, 1946 in Madrid, Spain ) is a former Spanish racing driver. In 1977, he competed in two Formula 1 Grand Prix. His son Emilio is junior and his deceased daughter Maria was also a racing driver.

De Villota was reported 1976-1982 in fifteen Formula 1 World Championship races, but he could only qualify twice for the launch. In 1976 he went to for RAM Racing. 1977 and 1978 it was reported with a McLaren - Ford on their own in eight Grand Prix. In 1977 he had his only two race starts: the Grand Prix of Spain at the Circuito del Jarama he reached the thirteenth and the Grand Prix of Austria Austria on the ring the seventeenth place.

In 1981, he was locked in his only Grand Prix with a Williams - Ford at the Grand Prix of Spain for breach of the Concorde Agreement. However, de Villota could qualify in any way for the start.

De Villotas greatest sporting success was winning the championship in the Aurora AFX F1 series in 1980, a racing series, also known as British Formula 1 championship is known (as opposed to the World Cup).

After unsuccessfully verlaufenen motorsport season 1982 de Villota ended his Formula 1 career. But he remains motorsport connected and operates a Formula 3 racing team.
