Emilio Izaguirre

Emilio Arturo Izaguirre Giron ( born May 10, 1986 in Tegucigalpa ) is a football player from Honduras.

Career

His debut in the Honduran league graduated Izaguirre age of 17 for the Club Deportivo Motagua, where he quickly became a regular player and his team in the season 2006/ 07 won the Apertura Tournament and 2007, the Central American Copa Inter Clubes. Although he had to pause for a few months in the same year due to a collarbone injury, he was chosen by the press at the best Honduran footballer.

In 2010, Izaguirre agreed with Celtic from the Scottish Premier League with a contract for four seasons.

In the Honduran national team he reached his first success with the U -20 team that qualified for the 2005 World Cup with him in the Netherlands. Later he played in the U -23, with which he qualified in Beijing for the Olympic Football Tournament 2008. At that time stood Izaguirre already in the squad of the national team, for whom he made ​​his debut on 9 February 2007 in the match against Costa Rica. In the same year he took part with the senior national team at the 2007 CONCACAF Gold Cup, where he was one of the strongest players of his team. He qualified with Honduras for the Football World Cup 2010 in South Africa. In the final competition, was eliminated in Honduras in the first round, he played the games against Chile and Spain.
