Emily Barclay
Emily Barclay ( born October 24, 1984 in Plymouth, England) is a British actress.
Life and achievements
Barclay made his debut in 1998 in the New Zealand television series Shortland Street. In the thriller No One Can Hear You ( 2001) she played the role of Amy Burchall, the daughter of the reporter Trish Burchall (Kelly McGillis ). In the drama as the sea played it disappeared (2004) one of the major roles for which she was awarded in 2005 with the British Independent Film Award and the New Zealand Screen Award. For the role of the Australian made-for- television film The Mystery Silence ( 2006) she was nominated in 2006 for the Australian Film Institute Award.
Barclay took over in the Australian film Suburban Mayhem Drama (2006) starring the 19 -year-old Katrina, who kills his own father. For this role she won the 2006 Australian Film Institute Award and the Australian IF Award. In the currently produced Drama Brontë, in which they will be seen alongside Michelle Williams, she plays the role of Anne Brontë (May 2007).
Barclay lives in New Zealand. She is active in the field of animal welfare.
