Emily Cross

Emily R. Cross (born 15 October 1986 Seattle ) is an American foil fencer.

The New York-based Cross starts for the New York Fencing Club. Already in 2003 she became a student of World Champion. At the Pan American Games in Santo Domingo in 2003, she won the silver medal. In 2005, she was North American champion in singles. In the same year she won gold at the Junior World Cup. She repeated this success in 2006. At the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing she reached the 17th place in the individual and won with the team the silver medal.

Cross ended 2004, The Brearley High School and studied since Biology at Harvard University. She is the daughter of Frederick and Elizabeth Cross and has a brother, Sam, who for the Harvard team fights. Emily Cross is coached by Mikhail Petin. She also plays softball as a midfielder for Team Zoggeystyl in New York.
