Emine Bozkurt

Emine Bozkurt ( born August 9, 1967 in Zaandam ) is a Dutch politician ( PvdA).

After she studied at the University of Amsterdam, European Studies, Bozkurt worked in various media. In the PvdA it was from 1998 to 1999, first board member in Amsterdam, then a member of the Advisory Committee on European policy and from 1999 to 2001, she also belonged to the internal party core group of multi ethnic woman network. Since 2004 she is a member of the European Parliament.

MEP

As an MEP is Bozkurt in the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats in the European Parliament and Chair of the Delegation for relations with the countries of Central America. She is also a member of the Conference of Delegation Chairs, the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs, the Committee on Women's Rights and Gender Equality, the Special Committee against organized crime, corruption and money laundering and the Delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of Europe Latin America
