The Emirgan Park, Turkish Emirgan Korusu or Emirgan parkı, is a public park in Istanbul. The plant in the landscape style has a dense tree. Every year in May, there is a tulip exhibition here.

History

The area was originally part of Istanbul's city forest. In the 19th century Ismail Pasha left a prestigious country house built on the Bosporus ( a palace right on the water, a yali ). The back to the forest has been transformed into a garden.

End of the 20th century prompted the Turkish Touring and Automobile Club ( ttŏk, Türkiye Turing ve Otomobil Kurumu ) the restoration of the three garden pavilions.

Components

Except the Yellow ( Sari Köşk ), the pink ( Beyaz Köşk ) and the White Pavilion ( Beyaz Köşk ) there is a large artificial lake with an island. Furthermore, there is a waterfall and a grotto.
